Craft Tutorial | Bottlecap Reindeer Magnet
Crafting with kids is always a joy, and this adorable bottlecap reindeer magnet is the perfect easy project for the holiday season. Create one or even a whole team of reindeer to celebrate!
Materials Needed:
- 1 bottle cap per magnet
- Black and white paint
- Paintbrush
- 2 brown pipe cleaners
- 2 strong magnets that fit inside a bottle cap
- Red pom-poms
- Hot glue gun
- Brown or gray paint
Start by painting the exterior of each bottle cap with brown or gray paint to create the reindeer base. Allow the paint to dry completely before continuing.
Using the white paint, create small circles for the eyes on each bottle cap. After a brief drying time, add a small black dot inside each white eye, followed by a tiny dab of white paint to give your eyes some sparkle.
Next, take a pipe cleaner and cut it in half. Bend the pieces to create antlers and twist them together, then set them aside.
Attach the antlers by applying hot glue to the longer end and pressing it into the bottle cap opposite where you painted the face.
Now, pick out a red pom-pom for the nose. Apply a small amount of hot glue where you want the nose to go and firmly hold it for a few seconds until secure.
Finally, use hot glue to affix the magnet inside the bottle cap. Press down firmly and let it set. Your reindeer magnet is now complete and ready for display or as a thoughtful handmade gift!
