Ingredients
– 1 Apple
– 1/4 cup Peanut Butter
– Yogurt Covered Raisins or Almond Slivers or Mini Marshmallows
– Red Food Coloring
Instructions
1. Add 8 drops of red food coloring to the peanut butter and mix until well combined to create a more mouth-like color.
2. Cut the apple, removing the sides and leaving a 1″ section in the center that includes the core.
3. Halve each side piece, then carve out a wedge from each to form a mouth shape.
4. To prevent browning, brush any cut areas with lemon juice if preparing in advance.
5. Fill the carved mouth with peanut butter.
6. If using smaller apples, you may only fit one row of teeth.
7. For marshmallows, let them air out on a counter for a few hours to dry slightly, making them easier to cut.
8. Use scissors to cut them diagonally for fangs or horizontally for teeth.
9. Trim almond slivers with a knife for a neat edge if you decide to use them as teeth.
