Cadbury Chocolate Easter Chicks
Today, the kids and I had some fun with one of my favorite Easter treats: Cadbury cream eggs. After melting some chocolate for another project, I found I had a little leftover in my bowl.
Within minutes, we were laughing and chopping up the melting chocolate, which led to the creation of these adorable chicks!
Here’s what we used:
- Cadbury Cream Eggs (you can also use caramel eggs or any similarly-sized chocolate egg)
- Orange Wilton melting chocolate
- White Wilton melting chocolate
- Brown Wilton melting chocolate
- Black (or any color) frosting for the eyes
- Wax paper
Begin by melting a few pieces of the brown chocolate to serve as your “glue.”
On wax paper, place a dollop of brown chocolate between two orange circles, leaving enough chocolate underneath for the egg to sit securely. I used a small object to prop the egg up, but it solidified quickly.
The rest is purely up to your creativity, using the brown melted chocolate as adhesive. Once everything is set, you can lift it off the wax paper without any hassle.
