Rudolph | Candy Cane Reindeer
It may not even be Thanksgiving yet, but I can’t help but feel the holiday excitement starting the Monday before.
One of my kids’ all-time favorite characters from our holiday books is Rudolph.
This delightful and quick craft keeps my little ones bouncing in their seats, humming the familiar song as they enjoy their snacks.
Ingredients
24 small Candy Canes
12 Hershey Kisses
12 Red Candy Decorations (like Red Hots)
24 Candy Eyes
1/2 cup Dark Chocolate Candy Melting Chips
1 White Candy Melting Chip
Directions
1. Line a cutting board or cookie sheet with wax paper.
2. Melt the chocolate candy chips by microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
3. Take 2 candy canes and dip the straight ends in melted chocolate, shaking off any excess.
4. Position the canes on the wax paper with the hooks facing opposite directions.
5. Place an unwrapped Hershey Kiss on the chocolate-covered canes.
6. Repeat with the remaining candy canes.
7. Using a toothpick, dab some melted chocolate to attach the red candies on top of the kisses as noses.
8. Use the toothpick to adhere the candy eyes as well.
9. Heat the white chocolate chip in the microwave for about 15 seconds, then use another toothpick to create a mouth on each reindeer.
