Peanut butter cookies are always a delight in our household, regardless of the season.
This year, we decided to make them a bit more exciting and fun!
We think they’re adorable enough to leave out for Santa. What do you think?
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Egg
- 1 1/3 cup Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 48 Red M&M’s
- 96 Mini Chocolate Chips
- Mini Twist Pretzels
Instructions
- Break pretzels into pieces to be used as antlers.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cream together the peanut butter, butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla, beating until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing until well incorporated.
- Roll into balls about 1/2-3/4 inch in size and place them on a cookie sheet several inches apart.
- Sprinkle the cookies with sugar and create a slight indentation off-center with your thumb.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes.
- Place an M&M in the indentation of each cookie.
- Insert 2 mini chocolate chips (pointy side down) above the M&M to represent eyes.
- Add 2 pretzel pieces for the antlers.
- If the antlers don’t stick, melt some chocolate chips in a sandwich bag in the microwave for 30 seconds. Knead until soft, then use it as glue to hold the antlers in place.
