Staples has generously donated $1 million to DonorsChoose.org, inviting everyone to contribute either online or at their stores, thereby reducing the financial burden on teachers.
DonorsChoose.org is a nonprofit organization that has successfully funded over 700,000 classroom initiatives, positively impacting more than 18 million students nationwide. Currently, over 70% of public schools across America have teachers seeking funding for their projects. Additionally, more than 2 million individuals have contributed over $425 million to projects that resonate with them. With a significant number of beneficiaries coming from low-income communities and disaster-affected areas, these contributions have provided essential resources like books, art supplies, field trips, technology, and more. Thanks to Staples’ $1 million donation and continued contributions from customers during the back-to-school season, we can collectively empower teachers to enhance their classrooms.

From June 26 to September 10, customers who spend $25 or more at any Staples store will receive a special entry code on their receipt, allowing them to participate in the sweepstakes at Staples.com/StaplesForStudents. One grand prize winner will receive a $50,000 scholarship along with a trip for two to Los Angeles to meet Katy Perry. Furthermore, four first prize winners, each with a guest, will win air travel to Los Angeles, accommodation for two nights, and spending money to attend the exclusive VIP Winners Celebration with Katy Perry.
