Delta just announced they are already spreading holiday cheer for the Winter season.
As travel continues to make a huge comeback, the Atlanta-based carrier will be adding flights to gorgeous destinations across Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America for December and January.
They will now be offering a total of 25,000 seats to over 40 amazing places throughout Latin America!
Flights are now on sale on their official website for flights out of New York, Atlanta, and Detroit. The dates for all new flights are December 16 through January 7.
Increased Flight Schedule From Atlanta
Delta is proud to hold the title of the number one airline to Latin America from both Detroit and Atlanta. As Delta’s main hub, there are a ton of flights operated out of Atlanta.
Travelers in this region should be excited to know the popular carrier is increasing flight frequencies to 7 top destinations to escape the bitter cold next winter.
The added flights are as follows:
- Atlanta (ATL) to Aruba (AUA) twice daily
- Atlanta (ATL) to Cancun, Mexico (CUN) 7 times daily
- Atlanta (ATL) to Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) twice daily
- Atlanta (ATL) to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) twice daily
- Atlanta (ATL) to Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ) 4 times daily

More Flights From New York (JFK)
Although Delta is based in Atlanta, they still have a huge base in New York City. New Yorkers looking for a sunny getaway next winter will have some exciting new options to choose from.
The added flights are as follows:
- New York (JFK) to Cancun, Mexico (CUN) 3 times daily
- New York (JFK) to Nassau, Bahamas (NAS) twice daily
- New York (JFK) to Punta Cana, D.R. (PUJ) twice daily
- New York (JFK) to San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) 4 times daily
- New York (JFK) to Santo Domingo, D.R. (SDQ) 4 times daily
- New York (JFK) to Santiago, D.R. (STI) 4 times daily
One Increased Route From Detroit
Detroit gets extremely cold during winter, so it’s no surprise Delta has increased its flight frequencies to one of the top beach destinations in the world.
Those looking to catch some rays will have more options at hand to visit Cancun.
- Detroit (DTW) to Cancun, Mexico (CUN) 4 times daily
New Nonstop Service To Mexico
Delta was thrilled to announce earlier this week a new direct route to Mexico from Atlanta and Minneapolis on their fleet of A320 planes.
While beach destinations such as Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and Los Cabos are amazing destinations in Mexico, sometimes Delta’s newly added destination, Cozumel, is overshadowed.
Cozumel is the biggest island in the Mexican Caribbean, home to a beautifully rich history, stunning beaches, and attracting visitors worldwide to see the coral reefs.
For a dreamy vacation, there are some amazing resorts in Cozumel for travelers to spoil themselves.
New seasonal flight options:
- Atlanta (ATL) to Cozumel (CZM) daily flight beginning November 5
- Minneapolis (MSP) to Cozumel, Mexico (CZM) 3 times per week beginning December 16
What Else Is New With Delta
Recently, Delta announced a new partnership with T-mobile to provide free wi-fi on select flights! Travelers will no longer have to wait to check their email or social media until they land.
As of now, only routes that are directly serviced by Delta will offer this useful amenity. Any subsidiary of Delta will most likely not be equipped.
Music and podcast lovers will love the new feature of curated playlists and podcasts offered by Spotify.
As part of Delta’s new seat-back TV screens, Spotify is the most recent streaming service added to a plethora of entertainment options on board.
While jet setters enjoy these new features, Delta’s new tasty goodies might just hit the spot!
