A lesser-known paradise island, this tropical spot in the Caribbean offers visitors a thriving culture, untouched natural wonders, and the kindness and hospitality of strangers.

North of Trinidad and Tobago, the “Spice Isle” is home to an abundance of nutmeg plantations, historical sites, and the world’s first underwater garden.

Non-Stop Flights To Grenada

The launch of a new direct service will be JetBlue’s second route to Grenada. While the carrier currently offers a daily non-stop route from JFK to GND, JetBlue’s Boston service is stirring up excitement amongst Americans looking to escape to paradise.

Experiencing the very first flight out of Logan Airport on November 4th, I had the chance to lounge in JetBlue’s luxe Mint class. With 16 lie-flat seats, I was in full vacation mode with my legs up, mimosa in hand, and noise-canceling headphones at the ready.

Partnering with Delicious Hospitality Group to bring some of Manhattan’s favorites to the sky, our Pasaquale Jones-inspired menu featured breakfast favorites from fresh frittatas to smoked salmon bagels.

Time Underwater

With pristine waters and sandy beaches, Grenada offers excellent conditions for adventure enthusiasts. With more than 30 dive sites, home to the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean, and the world’s first underwater sculpture park – there’s so much to do.

The park consists of 25 life-size sculptures all inspired by local members of the Grenadian community. It’s a scene not to be missed. Take a boat trip there from the mainland and spend the day diving, snorkeling, and experiencing a great art creation.

Your Pick of Resorts

A short jaunt from the airport, and we arrived along the shores of Pink Gin Beach. An exotic hideaway in Grenada, Sandals Resort had everything we needed to feel relaxed and rejuvenated and to experience the culture of the country.

With six hotel bars, a choice of pools, and weekly activities, the Resort felt like home almost instantly. Dance the night away at a silent disco, watch a lively performance, or wind down with some beach-side yoga – Sandals offers a variety of options for all interests.

Flavorful Dishes

From the lush lands to the open seas, there’s really no shortage of fresh ingredients to be found on the Island. Dubbed “Spice Island” for good reason, Grenada is a leading producer of mace, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.

Beach shacks, 5-star restaurants, and tree-top cafes, Grenada is full of quirky eateries. If you’re looking for a stellar craft beer selection, a local hangout, and to chat with a few expats, then head on over to West Indies Beer Company.

Activities Galore

Cruise along Grenada’s Southern Coast, take in the warm sunshine, and jump in the calm seas. Nature lovers are in for a treat. Cascading waterfalls and cheeky monkeys, you’ll find yourself immersed in the beauty of mother-nature during your time on the island.

Locals Feel Like Family

Dancers and steel drums awaited our arrival, and I had the chance to experience the genuine hospitality and welcoming nature of Grenadians firsthand.

Something I’ll always remember are the faces of the locals as they share their knowledge and love of their beautiful island. If you want to instantly feel part of the family, then venture over to Friday Bar.

Remaining under the radar, this quaint hangout spot seats around 10 people in a thatched hut overlooking the lush greenery of Grenada. No menu and only a few staple dishes, this local favorite is a game of trust.

And it gets even better.. those who enter must ‘sanitize’ with a shot of a mysterious rum concoction — you’ll be part of the Friday family in no time!
